What does the platform fee cover?
The platform fee is applied to each transaction processed through Mused. It covers payment processing, hosting, AI features, and ongoing platform development. Stripe's standard processing fee (2.9% + 30 cents) is separate and charged by Stripe directly.
Can I switch between Free and Pro?
Yes, you can upgrade to Pro at any time and the change takes effect immediately. If you downgrade, you keep Pro features until the end of your current billing cycle. Active commissions beyond the Free limit will be set to read-only.
How do milestone payments work?
You set up milestones for each commission (e.g., sketch, lineart, color, final). Clients pay at each milestone through Stripe checkout. Files for each stage are gated behind payment, so you never deliver work without getting paid.
What are AI pricing suggestions?
When a client submits a commission brief, our AI analyzes the complexity, your past pricing history, and market data for similar work to suggest a fair price. You always have final say — the AI just gives you a starting point.
Do clients need to create an account?
No. Clients access your intake form, view quotes, make payments, and approve deliverables through shareable links. No account required on their end.
What payment methods do you support?
Mused uses Stripe for all payment processing, which supports credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and many local payment methods depending on your region.
Is there a contract or commitment?
No contracts, no commitments. The Free tier is free forever. Pro is billed monthly and you can cancel at any time. No cancellation fees.
